Noah James Scribner, May 21, 2007

I know this has taken a little while, but life has slowed a little, all of the company has gone home, and we are settling into our life with an additional family member. Everything with the delivery could not have gone better. Jenny did great throughout the surgery (c-section) and even had energy left over to handle all of the people that came to see the baby that morning. Noah was born at 7:55 a.m. on Monday morning weighing in at a cool 8lbs 4oz and measuring 21" long. Noah did a fantastic job adjusting to life on the outside and quickly found his way into the hearts of his older siblings. Sleeping is what he has been doing for the majority of his life so far. However, every now and then he will open up his eyes and spend some time taking in the sights around him. Our first few days have been rather calm. We had some great help to get us through the delivery. Jenny's dad and his wife Terry came to care for the kids while I spent time with Jenny and Noah in the Hospital. Then Mom and Dad showed up on Thursday to help until we came home from the hospital and then took the three boys out to Elk Ridge with them. This was a great help because it gave Gracie a little bit of time to adjust to the new arrival. I think we are now getting to the point where Gracie is realizing that this new baby is here to stay. She now comes into our room every morning asking where the "baby" is and wanting to hold him but what she really wants to do is poke and prod him to see what kind of a reaction she will get from the baby or from mommy and daddy. here are some picts of Noah's first moments.

Gracie and Daddy sharing some time before the surgery.

All the kids anxiously awaiting the delivery (and some were a little nervous about mommy going "under the knife").

Watching the baby in the nursery.

Baby Noah.

Hey, Christy isn't the only one leaving comments. I just keep forgetting my name and password. These are all a wonderful set of pictures. Noah's growing up now too fast.
